What’s In My Tool Shed?
A look into the AI tools I rely on daily and how they seamlessly integrate into my workflow to boost productivity.

If I had a pound for every time someone asked me, “So what AI tools do you actually use?” - well, that's why we have a new sidekick feature in the works to map people ot the right AI tools.
Let’s be honest: there are a lot of tools out there. And there’s no one-size-fits-all stack. But the reality is - you don’t need more tools. You need the right ones, used in the right way, for your workflow.
So here’s what’s in my current tool shed - what I actually open every day that I couldn't now live without:
- ChatGPT Pro – my go-to for creative tasks, quick ideation, and morning check-ins. Think of it as a sharp, responsive generalist. Kind of like a VW - it'll get you from A to B.
- Claude (Anthropic) – for longer reads, strategy docs, or anything emotionally or ethically sensitive. It's my thoughtful collaborator and I liken it more to let's say, a Mercedes: it just feels more sophisticated, more intelligent.
- Gemini (Google) – mostly for things inside the Google ecosystem: Docs, Sheets, search-heavy tasks. Unconfigured Gemini feels pretty dumb, but once it's got direction (add your Atheni fingerprint) I can see what all the hype is about - it's powerful!
- Fireflies – voice-to-action tool. It transcribes, tags, and lets me immediately do something with the call content. Also takes LIVE meetings, unlike many other notetakers
- Notion AI – my second brain. I draft, store, organize, and tag all my messy ideas in here.
But the real magic isn’t in the tools themselves. It’s in how they work together - and how Atheni stitches that all into a flow that feels like me. From AI-generated nudges based on how I work to personalized prompts tailored to my tone, I don’t have to switch hats for each tool.
You shouldn’t have to either.
The stack isn’t the answer. The workflow is!
